Lucia Ring-Watkins teaches grounding-protection practices from Western magic and Eastern martial arts.
Both Western magic and Eastern martial arts stress the importance of disciplined practices to build internal power. These simultaneously create a strong protective energy shield.
In this immersive 2-hour workshop, Lucia Ring-Watkins teaches students how to carry out grounding practices from several Western and Eastern traditions. Beginning with Western magic – where the foundational practice is the banishing ritual – Lucia explores one each from the ceremonial, Chaos and Thelemic traditions. She then turns to the Eastern internal martial arts of Tai Chi, Bagua and Xingyi, where the foundational practice is 'standing stake'. Its aim is to build up internal spiritual resources for the cultivation of martial powers. Lucia teaches two standing practices, each for a particular internal power.
By the end of the workshop, students will be able to carry out several protective, energy-strengthening rituals from East and West, allowing them to remain centred through difficult situations.
