Practical Ancient Necromancy: 2-Part Online Workshop

Jules McArthur teaches ancient necromancy, one of the world’s oldest magical and divinatory arts, for modern times. (Runs 1 & 8 Oct)

In this online 2-part workshop, Jules McArthur teaches participants how to work magically with the dead. Jules explores the history of necromancy in Ancient Greece and Rome, delving into mythology and real-world tomb cults. Students are guided through a journey of the Greco-Roman Underworld and taught how to develop a relationship with the ghost of Tiresias, from Homer’s Odyssey. Jules then explains core techniques from the Greek Magical Papyri. The workshop concludes with a guided group ritual.

2-part online workshop, running 1 & 8 October, from 7-9pm. Please bring a coin and a small item (flower, glass of wine or juice, sweets, etc…) as an offering to Persephone to the first workshop.

Jules McArthur (they/them) has devoted their life to the study and practice of ancient magic. They have both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Classics, specialising in the Greek Magical Papyri. They are also a professional tarot reader and a long-standing practitioner of magic, appearing on several popular podcasts such as Seeking Witchcraft.
