The Many Faces of Death – Online Class

Rebecca Beattie explores Death’s many guises, from literature and mythology to tarot.

In this online class, Rebecca Beattie introduces many faces of Death. The class looks at the Death card of the tarot, the personification of Death in literature, and a selection of gods of death and resurrection – Anubis, Hel, Baron Samedi and The Morrigan – alongside ancient Egyptian attitudes to death. Attendees conclude with guided meditation on meeting the gods of the underworld.

Rebecca Beattie has spent over two decades studying and practicing witchcraft. A Wiccan priestess of 20 years, she has a rich understanding of the history and traditions underpinning pagan practice. Her books include Wheel of the Year: A Nurturing Guide and the pagan toolkit for navigating major life changes, The Way Through the Woods.
