The creator of England's imagined lost county on re-enchantment as resistance.

Through near-daily postings in the voice of it's inhabitants, Hookland turns fact and fiction into a salt-line blur of things half-remembered. This in-person event is a rare chance to discover the cult county offline as creator David Southwell discusses its ethos – community, resistance and the links between folklore and place. Drinks follow.

David Southwell
is an author, journalist, and independent researcher on the relationship between folklore and place. He has spoken on the subject at universities, galleries, and rooms above pubs. He is perhaps best-known known for developing the approach of landscape punk and the creation of Hookland.
