Writing Spells and Blessings – Online Workshop

Bernadette Russell teaches the art of writing spells, charms, and blessings.

In this online workshop, Bernadette Russell explores the wealth of inspiration – ancient texts, grimoires, magical poetry, folklore, medieval prose, and more – relevant to spellcraft today. The workshop includes plenty of time to write as well as share in small groups. Suitable for all levels. 

Bernadette Russell is an author and professional storyteller who has studied myth and folklore with Dr Martin Shaw, Sharon Blackie and Jonathan Huet. She is storyteller-in-residence at Lesnes Abbey Woods, where she hosts Rough Magic, a regular seasonal storytelling event. Her work includes performances and writing for organisations such as the Royal Albert Hall, Tate Britain, the Natural History Museum, the National Theatre and the Southbank Centre – though she is most often found telling stories around a fire in the woods.
