Weaving Wheat Crowns – In-Person Workshop

Tom Lewis teaches the craft of weaving golden wheat crowns for the turn of the year.

In this in-person, hands-on workshop, Tom Lewis teaches the art of weaving crowns from wheat, flax, and oats, decorated with dried flowers. All materials are provided. Round and golden, a wheat crown makes a fitting emblem for the return of the sun at midwinter, and by the end of the session attendees all have woven one of their own to take home.

Limited to 16 places. Sunday 6 December, 1-4pm.

Tom Lewis (Daddy Street Fox) is a Hackney-based artist. One of his current focuses is working with natural materials, notably wheat weaving, straw work, corn husk to craft everything from crowns, to dollies, to masks.
