A Walk Through Deep Time: Four Ages of Wrongs Covert

Fri 10 Apr 2026 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM

Come and wrap yourself in layers of time in the tranquil and magical riverside woodland that is Wrongs Covert. Four Ages of Wrongs: a Walk Through Deep time is an experience led by art historian, storyteller and forest school leader Roxanne Matthews. Join Roxanne on a journey through glacial chalk stream creation, Neolithic flint making, Saxon animal husbandry, bronze age settlements, medieval moving on and more, with a stop round the fire for tea and biscuits, it's a long way to travel with just story for sustenance.

Wrongs Covert is a working woodland farm, nestled in the reed beds and ancient wet woodland cradling the Wensum. Just 12 miles NW of Norwich, it is both accessible to the city and completely free of city distractions. As a private site there will be no walkers or dogs to distract you from our story, you’ll be wrapped in birdsong, rustling leaves, the diversity of flora and fauna that comes from 8 definably different National Vegetation Classifications, and of course; in story. Wrongs has been cared for deeply by ecologists, conservationists, makers and storytellers for 22 years, and far back into the realms of the lesser known. We now extend this story to you, for the first time. Your visit and your support goes to help maintain this very special ecosystem.

10.30-12.30, £25/ticket, refreshments included. All tickets help support this important wet woodland ecosystem. Wrongs is 12 miles NW of Norwich, full directions on booking.
