Island wines are having a moment, and for good reason. The term covers wines from southern European islands like Sardinia, Sicily and Corsica, and they're fresh, lively and built for exactly this kind of weather.

Every island brings its own terroir, climate and native grapes, but they share a secret weapon: rugged growing conditions. Hardy vines dig deep for minerals and pour everything into the fruit, while sea breezes swing the temperature just enough to keep acidity high and thirst quenched. These are wines the gods clearly built for August afternoons, and we're pouring a lineup that proves it.
