About the Festival
A day of connection, discovery and celebration. Rooted in nature, guided by dogs and flavoured with truffle.
The UK Truffle Festival is a one-of-a-kind celebration of Britain's most elusive ingredient, and the extraordinary dogs trained to find it. Launched in 2022 and sold out every year since, it brings together foodies, dog lovers, foragers, mycologists and curious newcomers for one unforgettable day in the Sussex countryside.
Yes, wild truffles grow right here in the UK, and this is your chance to experience them like nothing else on the British events calendar.

What to Expect on the Day
- Taste fresh British truffle — paired simply, served beautifully, and at the heart of the day.
- Try truffle hunting with your own dog — open to all breeds, no experience needed. Entry is free.
- Expert talks on truffle hunting, truffle cultivation, mycology, truffle dog training and sustainable & ethical foraging.
- Truffle Discovery Zone — see, smell and examine real British truffles under the microscope. The science and story, up close.
- Live Truffle Dog Demos — watch working truffle dogs uncover hidden truffles, with expert tips from the trainers.
- Live cooking demos from leading UK chefs, working with fresh truffle and seasonal ingredients.
- Live fire cooking over open flame — raw, dramatic, and delicious.
- Local Artisan & Truffle Market — artisan producers, dog-friendly brands, nature-inspired makers, and fresh British truffle to take home.
- Live music throughout the day, plus a relaxed festival atmosphere in the Sussex countryside.
- The UK Truffle Dog Championships awards ceremony — held live at the festival.
- The Truffle Cup Competition — for truffle hunters. Bring your finest find and compete for the title.

Fresh Truffle Canapés and a Welcome Glass
On arrival, guests can collect a selection of freshly prepared canapés made with real British summer truffle (Tuber aestivum), paired with a chilled glass of sparkling wine. A small but unforgettable taste of what the day is all about.
"Exceptional, delicious, and a beautiful use of fresh truffle." — Louis Houette, Director at Cément La Truffière, French chef and lifelong truffle connoisseur.
Every canapé is made with fresh British truffle, a highly prized ingredient typically ranging from £700 to £1,000+ per kilo. Prepared on the day to let its genuine aroma and flavour shine. No artificial oil, no flavouring, no shortcuts.
Included with every VIP ticket, or as an add-on to your order (canapés £30 per person, sparkling wine £12 per glass). Please note: canapés are pre-order only and cannot be purchased on the day.
