Synopsis

Set in Old South Virginia during the 1870s, Undeserved tells the story of the Jackson family as they struggle to move forward after the sudden loss of their son. Divided - father in prison, mother and daughters grieving at home - Charles, Shirley, their daughters and their community experience heartbreak, conflict, and moments of profound grace as they confront the challenging questions of why suffering exists and whether God remains faithful in the darkest seasons of life.

About Our Production

• Undeserved will be performed by a group of about 40 talented young people, ages 12–18.
• This drama is contains some content that may be difficult for children. (Death in a non-graphic manner, some violence, sounds of gunfire, intense emotion and brief physical abuse.) Parental discretion is advised.
• A strobe light will be used in one scene at the end of Act 1.
• Performances are FREE to attend, and seating is NOT assigned. Please plan to arrive early in order to find seats; doors open 30 minutes before showtime.
• Please come prepared to show your ticket(s) at the door.
• Concessions will be available for sale before and during the intermission of each performance.
• The performances, including intermission, will be approximately 120 minutes long.
• Truth Drama is a ministry of Truth Baptist Church.
