This workshop will explore meditation practices from different faith traditions through short presentations, practices and sharings.
We will hear a Christian contribution from Rev Laura Gilmore, Glasgow. Jill Alexander and her colleagues will share a Heartfulness perspective which is based on the ancient art of Raja Yoga. Till Kroeber will present a Chan Buddhist view. Emphasis will be given to every day life practices and their benefit from a well-being perspective.
There will be opportunity for questions and comments. Space will be given to interfaith dialogue to explore similarities and differences of meditative practices.
This afternoon event can be combined with the Interfaith week event 'Buddha Meets Researcher - Exploring the Science of Well-being and Buddhist Meditation Practice' held at the same venue in the morning.
A 12:45 lunch consisting of soup and bread for a suggested donation of £5 on the day can be ordered via the checkout form. You can also bring your own lunch.
