ART PLAY FOR CURIOUS ADULTS led by visual artist Blaide Lallemand, introduces participants to the work of different artists each week, with participants trying new approaches to art making in every class. Develop art making skills as you enjoy a chat, and a cuppa in a friendly and supportive environment.

Term 4 focuses on painting contemporary abstraction in both landscape and the human form.

In this 6-week term, students will focus their attention on 3 contemporary painters. Spending two weeks on each artist, the first week will be a deep drive into their practice and the second week will be utilising their approach to making an original artwork.

The artsist’s are Jon Llewelyn, Daniel Heidkamp and Laine Kolesar. These artists have been carefully chosen for the curious artist who may not have many years experience in painting. These classes have been designed to easily identify their unique practice paying attention to the use of block colour, form, stylisation and composition. We will be exploring abstract composition in relation to landscape and the human form.
