The Jazz Haus Canberra: Rachael Thoms and Tom Fell
Join us for an evening of original jazz when co-founders of the creative jazz collective The Fringe of Squaredom present an unforgettable double-bill performance. Where expressive melodies and bold improvisations collide, Sketches from The Fringe features individual sets from each artist, as they journey through original contemporary Australian jazz at its most authentic.
Rachael Thoms is a jazz-trained hybrid vocalist known for her expressive storytelling and vocal artistry. Tom Fell is a saxophonist and sonic explorer, known for his dynamic tone and inventive improvisation. Thoms and Fell join forces with an ensemble of local jazz heavyweights that play from the heart. Expect intricate arrangements, unexpected turns, and a musical rapport developed through years of shared experience and collaboration.
