Tunbridge Wellness After Dark presents Conscious Sessions

Join us for an intimate evening of ghosts, legends and strange stories from the county of Kent, with Dr Geoff Doel, folklorist, author and lecturer.

With 60 years' experience researching folklore nationally, including around 50 years exploring the folklore of Kent, Geoff is the co-author of Folklore of Kent and has written extensively on British folklore, myth and traditional culture.

For this first Conscious Session, Geoff will take us into some of Kent's stranger stories: ghosts and legends, folk belief, mysterious characters and tales that have lingered beneath the surface of everyday life.

Expect fascinating stories, forgotten histories and plenty to get you thinking, as Geoff brings his decades of research to life in an informal and intimate setting.

The evening will include an illustrated talk followed by an audience Q&A, giving you the opportunity to ask Geoff your own questions and explore some of the stories in more detail.

This isn't a formal lecture. It's a cosy evening for curious minds, storytelling and a fascinating journey into Kent's folklore.

A small number of copies of Folklore of Kent will also be available to purchase on the night.
