In Held by a Thread, Anna Cutler, a prominent figure in art education, takes readers on a thought-provoking and humorous journey through her personal experiences and reflections on the value of art in schools. Through her engaging narrative, Anna reveals the surprisingly high stakes for our children's social, emotional, and intellectual development. The book serves as an impassioned plea to nurture the boundless human capacity for creativity within and beyond the classroom.
Steve Moffitt joins Anna for an informal conversation about the book and its themes. With a distinguished 40-year career in the Cultural Education sector, Steve passionately advocates for high-quality practice. As the CEO of A New Direction, an award-winning cultural education agency, Steve brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the discussion. In 2024, Steve was awarded an MBE for his services to Arts and Culture.
