Learn the art of storytelling with flowers and creating meaningful arrangements with sentiment in this exciting workshop led by Polly from What a Lovely Bunch.

This workshop offers an introduction to the beauty of seasonal, locally grown flowers with a complimentary glass of bubbles or sparkling elderflower.

Enjoy this session creating your own summer hand-tied bouquet. Using an abundance of flowers, grown by Polly and topped up with other female local Kent growers, you’ll create a stunning, bouquet under the careful guidance of What a Lovely Bunch.

Each bouquet will be uniquely yours made with classic summertime favourites such as: Dahlias, Cosmos, Amaranthus, Antirrhinum’s, Phlox and Poppies.

Polly will guide you through the process with:

• A visual introduction to colour theory
• A visual introduction to floral design
• The spiralling technique (with an accessible alternative option available)
• Tying, wrapping and caring for your bouquet

• The gallery is wheelchair accessible with an outdoor ramp and lift serving both floors.
• Wheelchairs and portable stools are available for visitors. Please contact us ahead of your visit, or speak to a member of staff upon arrival if you would like to use one.
• Large print text, magnifying sheets and audio versions of exhibition texts are available. Ask a member of staff for more information.
• We welcome guide dogs, hearing dogs and assistance dogs in the gallery.
