Pranayama, chanting and sound bath
Join us on 13 December for the final gathering in the Dissolve series, held at the stillest point of the year.
This closing session weaves together the ancient practices of pranayama and devotional chanting with a live, extended sound bath — an invitation to arrive fully in the body, open the voice, and dissolve into deep stillness.
Guest facilitator Amie Evans, founder of Union Yoga & Wellbeing, leads an accessible and joyful opening practice drawing on gentle movement, pranayama and chanting — no experience necessary.
Sound therapist and multidisciplinary practitioner Eleanor Yankah then leads an extended sound bath — Himalayan singing bowls, crystal quartz bowls, gongs, chimes, drone instruments, shruti and voice — drawing on principles of resonance, harmonic entrainment and sustained frequency to guide participants into the deepest states of rest in the Dissolve series.
All sessions are 90 minutes long, fully accessible, require no prior experience, and are available exclusively through Turner Contemporary.
Dissolve forms part of Slow Sundays—an ongoing series of immersive gatherings, wellbeing workshops and shared experiences. Drawing on Margate's rich history as a destination for wellness seekers, each event offers a gentle invitation to be present and curious.
