Film Programme: 3.00pm–3.40pmSuitable for ages 6+

Discover the hidden world of movie sound effects in this playful hands-on workshop exploring the art of Foley — the techniques filmmakers use to create the sounds we hear on screen.Using everyday objects, families will recreate everything from galloping horses and croaking frogs to crackling fires and rolling thunder, experimenting with the surprising ways ordinary materials can bring stories to life. Participants will also make their own simple musical instrument to take home, creating sounds and rhythms inspired by the workshop.Afterwards, settle in for a joyful programme of animated short films celebrating sound, rhythm and music. Together, the workshop and screening offer a fun introduction to the craft of filmmaking, revealing how sound can transform the stories we see on screen.
