Winter Solstice: A Day to Honour the Darkness

Sun 20 Dec 2026 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM Turner Contemporary, CT9 1HG

The Winter Solstice marks the longest night of the year, offering a natural moment to pause, slow down and turn inward. This immersive day invites you to explore the darkness as a time for rest, reflection, restoration and renewal.

Through ecstatic dance, breathwork, meditation, Celtic drumming, ritual and immersive sound, you will be guided through a series of practices designed to reconnect you with your body, breath and senses.

Together, we will move, listen, rest and reflect, journeying into the darkness not as something to fear, but as a space for restoration, connection and possibility.

Come exactly as you are.
