Improvers Open Sailing Session 2026

OPEN TO MEMBERS & NON-MEMBERS 

Want to brush up on your crewing or helming skills, or try dinghy sailing for the first time. Our Improver sessions are relaxed, supportive and fun, whatever your experience level.

Our dinghy fleet includes single & double-handers such as Toppers, Solos, Lasers, Quests, Enterprises, and National 12s. 

WHAT TO BRING
• Shoes you don't mind getting wet
• Waterproofs or sun hat/suncream
• Snack & drink
• Change of clothing
We provide buoyancy aids.  Arrive at our Lower Dinghy Park dressed to sail.  We'll rig and launch boats together.  After sailing we will have a debrief and refreshments

Approximate Duration: 2 – 3 hours (half day)

​Under 18’s (min age 8): Under 18’s will need a parent or responsible adult standing by during the session (or taking part!) 

​Course Content: We help you to develop the skills to sail confidently in all directions, use the tide to your advantage, be able to rig and de-rig and take part in racing if you want to.
