TYC Summer Regatta and BBQ 2026

Twickenham Yacht Club Summer Regatta 2026 - Saturday 18 & Sunday 19 July 

Join us for one of the highlights of the Thames sailing calendar as Twickenham Yacht Club welcomes members, guests and visiting sailors for a fantastic weekend of exciting racing, delicious food, live music and riverside camaraderie.

Whether you're competing for silverware, enjoying a day on the water, or simply coming along for the Saturday night festivities, our Summer Regatta promises great racing and a warm TYC welcome.

The Regatta will feature five races across two days, with the best three results counting towards the overall standings.

Saturday 18th July

* Race 1 – Start 2:30pm (Briefing 2:00pm)

* Race 2 – Immediately following Race 1

Sunday 19th July

* Race 3 – Start 11:00am (Briefing 10:30am)

* Race 4 – Start 2:30pm (Briefing 2:00pm)

* Race 5 – Immediately following Race 4 (and may be adjusted to allow for prize giving and departures)

Racing will take place on the River Thames between Eel Pie Island and Glovers Island.  Classes may be grouped depending on entries. Classes with fewer than three boats will race within the Handicap Fleet. Double-handed classes must sail with a crew or will compete in the Handicap Fleet.  Races will last approximately 45 minutes or six laps, whichever is shorter.  Start and finish lines may be located at Marble Hill Park steps, subject to conditions on the day.

Teas, coffees and biscuits will be available throughout the Regatta in the Clubhouse, and the Upper Deck bar will be open from 5pm on the Saturday and 12noon on the Sunday.

Saturday Night Regatta BBQ & Live Music

No TYC Regatta would be complete without the legendary Saturday evening BBQ with our famous Regatta steaks and generous home-made salads, followed by live music (there will be dancing!) from The Forty Fives, a fully stocked and friendly club bar and plenty of stories from the day's racing.

Family, friends and non-sailing guests are all welcome.  Book now to avoid disappointment - spaces are limited. £24 per person with vegetarian options available on request from tyc.socialsec@gmail.com. After dinner attendance for live music and dancing £5.

Prize Giving will take place on Sunday afternoon following the completion of racing.
