We're overjoyed to bring TCWE to Saint Paul, where we'll be at one of our favorite destinations: Café Latte on Grand Avenue!

Join us for a great evening of wine education with sommelier Jason Kallsen. In this essential class, we will teach you the methods that sommeliers use to taste wine deductively. If you've seen the movie SOMM, you've seen this in action.

By using a range of clues (color, viscosity, hue, alcohol levels, aromas, mouthfeel, and more), we can figure out what is in the glass and how the quality stacks up. By learning these methods, you are guaranteed to get more enjoyment out of every single glass you'll have for the rest of your life! That's powerful stuff!

We'll taste a range of excellent wines while stepping through the deductive wine-tasting grid and showing you how better to examine, interpret, and enjoy your wines.

Café Latte is a beloved Saint Paul institution, helping fuel our dessert needs with the most extraordinary cakes available and serving delicious and classy lunches and dinners to a packed house daily. In the back of the restaurant is the Café Latte wine bar, where some of the top deals in the cities can be found (along with delicious pizzas). Across the hallway is "Tres," the private events space of Café Latte, where our wine classes are held—easy parking in the neighborhood or the secure ramp across the street.
