Winespeak: The Ultimate Intro to Wine Class

The fundamentals of wine knowledge intimidate many, for we are talking about a subjective subject (smell and taste) while at the same time trying to understand why many give it a numerical score (94 points! Ah! A hedonistic fruit bomb!).

Between varietals, regions, countries, aromas, flavors, and about a million different opinions, it's no wonder many see the world of wine as a tornado of confusion.

No more! Come to the Winespeak class, presented by sommelier Jason Kallsen. Here, you will learn that no single best 'tasting system' exists. Instead, you will learn how YOU taste and perceive wine and how an understanding of wine can be influenced dramatically by the context in which you have it (including a discussion on food and wine pairings).

The core of the class is tasting six wines while deciphering the critical terms wine professionals use to discuss wine. By learning these nine words and how they are used in the wine world, you can describe ANY wine from ANYWHERE in the world for the rest of your life!

EaTo Restaurant is a gem in the downtown zone, serving outstanding Italian fare and focusing on the neighborhood.
