Twin Cities Wine Education presents a new format class featuring rare and unique wines!

Tastin' with Jason #16: All Over France (aged gems)

Tuesday, July 14th
Location: The Vine Room, Hopkins, MN
Start time: 6:00 pm
$85 per person, limited to 12 attendees
*note Terms and Conditions below

Tastin' with Jason is a wine class format that focuses on older, rarer, and higher-end wines. All Tastin' with Jason events are small group gatherings (12 people if we're opening 750ml bottles).

Each class will feature 5-7 wines related to a specific topic. We have accumulated these wines over the last twenty years, and many are difficult, if not impossible, to find.

We will start each Tastin' with Jason session with a current vintage selection in your glass, followed by an overview of all the wines being presented, their provenance and history, and our hopes and expectations for the results. Then, after opening and careful decanting, we will group taste and discuss as we step through the wines.

Expected class length (depending on topic and number of wines): 1.5 hours.

Tastin' with Jason #16: All Over France (aged gems)

Join us for the 16th edition of Tastin' with Jason, where we are headed to France to dive into a fun collection.

Does Cru Beaujolais age well? You damn right it does and I hope to prove it with a 2010 Moulin-A-Vent imported by Kermit Lynch.

How does Chateauneuf du Pape hold up after a quarter of a century? We'll find out with 2020 Chateau de la Gardine.

Cornas is one of my favorite regions in France, making Syrahs that smell like bacon (and who doesn't love bacon?). The problem: I pop them too young. But I found a 1999 Cornas deep in the cellar, so let's pop it.

Bordeaux is always a fun pick for aging and showcasing in these classes. We'll pop three of them including 2000 Leoville Les Cases, one of the superstars of the region. And over $400 a bottle. I have a special story to tell about this wine.

Terms and Conditions: By purchasing a ticket, I acknowledge that tasting older wine involves a degree of risk, and TCWE is not responsible for faulty, corked, or oxidized wines.
