Pour and Explore: The Wines of Piedmont

Join us for a style of wine class unlike any other. Our POUR AND EXPLORE series gives you a great wine class PLUS incredible access to a wide variety of outstanding wines and information in a fun and informal setting.

We'll start the evening with a wine class that includes information, maps, hints, tips, and more. The class is condensed (with a glass in hand, of course) and will cover core information in a fast and fun format. It will last approximately half an hour.

After the mini-class, we enjoy an at-your-own-pace exploration of the topic, with over a dozen wines poured by top independent wine vendors in the Twin Cities. We'll have tables staffed by experts on the night's topic, giving you broad access to an incredible range of products.

Pour and Explore: Piedmont

Welcome to Vino Italiano 2026!

We begin our four-week celebration of Italy with an evening devoted to one of the world's greatest wine regions: Piedmont. Home to Barolo, Barbaresco, Barbera, Moscato, truffles, hazelnuts, and some of the most revered food traditions in Europe, Piedmont offers a remarkable introduction to the diversity and beauty of Italian wine.

The evening begins with a guided tasting led by sommelier Jason Kallsen, exploring the history, grapes, regions, and wine styles that have made Piedmont famous. Following the presentation, guests will transition into a walk-around tasting featuring additional wines from across the region, allowing attendees to explore at their own pace, revisit favorites, and compare a wider range of Piedmont's remarkable offerings.

Whether you are discovering Nebbiolo for the first time or already planning your next trip to Alba, this relaxed and interactive event is the perfect way to kick off a month of Italian wine exploration. Salute!
