Deep Dive: Wines of The Veneto
When most wine lovers think of the Veneto, they think of Prosecco. But one of Italy's most important wine regions has far more to offer than bubbles alone.
Join sommelier Jason Kallsen for an in-depth exploration of the Veneto, a region whose wines range from crisp and refreshing to rich, powerful, and age-worthy. Stretching from the shores of Lake Garda to the hills surrounding Verona and the foothills of the Alps, the Veneto is home to a remarkable diversity of landscapes, grape varieties, and winemaking traditions.
Through a guided tasting, we'll examine the region's history, geography, and signature wine styles, and explore the factors that have made the Veneto one of the most influential wine regions in the world. Along the way, you'll gain a deeper appreciation for the grapes, producers, and traditions that have helped define Italian wine for generations.
Lago di Garda, Soave and Soave Classico, Valpolicella, Ripasso, Amarone, Prosecco, and more will all be covered.
Whether you're a longtime fan of Amarone and Soave or simply curious to learn what lies beyond Prosecco, this class offers a comprehensive look at one of Italy's most fascinating and dynamic wine regions.
