It's time for another Tastin' with Jason! 

In this special class, we’ll explore six remarkable village wines from Lindes de Remelluri, one of Rioja’s most fascinating projects. Rather than focusing on the traditional Crianza, Reserva, and Gran Reserva hierarchy, these wines ask a different question: what happens when you understand Rioja through place?

We’ll taste six wines from six neighboring villages—Labastida, San Vicente de la Sonsierra, Ábalos, Peciña, Rivas de Tereso, and Salinillas de Buradón—each made to reveal differences in elevation, soils, exposure, climate, and local vineyard character. Same vintage, same winemaker. The difference is only the terroir.

This is Rioja through a Burgundian lens: same broader region, closely related grapes, similar winemaking philosophy, yet dramatically different expressions from one village to the next.

We’ll talk about the history of Remelluri, Telmo Rodríguez’s role in the modern evolution of Rioja, why village wines are becoming increasingly important, and how these six places differ even though they sit relatively close to one another.

Most importantly, we’ll taste them side by side.
