Twin Cities Wine Education presents a tour of 8000 years of wine history!
HISTORY OF WINE IN SIX GLASSES
The history of wine is one of the great stories of civilization, and in this new class, we'll take you on a journey from 6000 BC to today while tasting a range of wines that will bring shape to the story.
THE HISTORY OF WINE IN SIX GLASSES takes us on a journey from the Republic of Georgia through Greece, then western Europe, down to South America, then up the west coast of North America, ending up in the Upper Midwest, all the while covering 8000 years of turning grapes into our favorite beverage.
We will discuss the history of fermentation, grape development, regional focus, wine politics, vines transportation, technology impact, and much more.
We'll give an overview of every region we land on, tasting a great example within the context of the information, and give you a new appreciation for the history of wine.
We hope you can join us!
