Join us to celebrate the culmination of our 25th Anniversary
Community Time Capsule planting, followed by tea & cake
Alderman Kneeshaw Park, Valiant Drive, Hull, HU9 4DZ | 1.45pm - 3pm
Join us for a special occasion as we celebrate the culmination of Two Ridings' 25th Anniversary year with the planting of our community time capsule, followed by tea and cake, at Alderman Kneeshaw Park at 1.45pm on Wednesday 8th
July 2026.
The time capsule tells the story of community across our region. Filled with treasured items, memories and symbols contributed by the groups we fund and nurture, it captures the spirit and impact of people coming together to help communities flourish.
Inside are objects that reflect remarkable stories and achievements: a script from Middle Child and feedback from what the theatre group means to people, a key from Lifeline in Harrogate signifying how they help homeless people with a key to a home, a Ukrainian flag signed by those who found sanctuary in York, a postcard from The Peel Project, a photograph of Platform's community minibus in daily use to support people across the region, and many other meaningful contributions from organisations making a difference every day. Together, these items offer a snapshot of what community means in 2025, but more than that they are echoes of lives changed, communities built and love shared.
Planting the time capsule on Poplar Walk, sees us celebrating the generosity and community spirit that defines our region - a reminder that charitable giving brings people together, strengthens communities, and makes life better for everyone in North and East Yorkshire, both today and for generations to come.
We would be delighted if you could join us and stay afterwards for a cup of tea and a scone or a piece of cake as we reflect on the stories, partnerships and achievements that have shaped our journey.
Hull is stronger because of the dedication of so many: the community organisations supported through the Hull Community Fund, the inspiring leaders of the HEY Confident Futures network, our partners, generous supporters, passionate businesses and individuals.
Two Ridings is proud to stand alongside you as we mark this special moment.
We look forward to celebrating with you.
Please book your complimentary ticket by Wednesday 1 July so that we can confirm catering numbers.
