Tir Natur (Katherine and Gwenni)

Tir Natur (meaning Nature’s Land in Welsh) is Wales’s only charity solely dedicated to rewilding.Despite the country’s severe ecological decline, and the potential of rewilding as a cost-effective, scalable response, there is a lack of rewilding sites and bold rewilding leadership in Wales. Tir Natur was founded to change this and to help catalyse nature-led restoration, rooted in Welsh culture and communities. In just 5 years, Tir Natur has developed from a small group of volunteers into a fully-fledged charity, and in 2025, we secured a once-in-a-generation opportunity: taking on stewardship of 1,195 acres of upland in Cwm Doethïe, Ceredigion. Today, this is Wales’s largest rewilding project, a place where keystone herbivores roam freely, reshaping the landscape and paving the way for biodiversity to return. Further support will help transform it into a flagship demonstration site, with wildlife flourishing alongside resilient rural communities, informing and inspiring action beyond its boundaries.

*we really appreciate you travelling from all across the country to spend time together and share experiences. At recent team days we've noticed people making an exit during the final presentation and are mindful of the impact this has to the speaker. We greatly value their time. So please, wherever possible, can you stay until the last speaker has finished their presentation.

Please book travel to Birmingham according to our expenses policy or lift share where possible.
