UCEA - Essentials of employment law workshop
Essentials of employment law is a lively and highly interactive two-days online workshop.
This workshop is delivered by a trainer who has nearly 30 years’ experience as the in-house lawyer for an education union.
Who is it for: aimed at HR team members who have limited knowledge of UK employment law or other managers who wish to gain this knowledge. The event is for colleagues who work at UCEA member HEIs.
When will it be: divided into four sessions, each lasting two hours. These four sessions are spread over two days on Tuesday 03 June and Wednesday 04 June. Session times: 10 am to 12 pm and 1 pm to 3 pm.
To get the most out of the training, participants must attend all four sessions across both days. Please note we do not record our training sessions.

- A thorough, comprehensive grounding in the essentials of employment law, covering: Employment Law "Urban Myths and the scope, contracts of employment law, unfair dismissal, rights to representation, discrimination and ‘proportionality, redundancy etc
