Uganda Martyrs Day Celebrations - Michigan - May 30-31, 2026

The Uganda Catholic Community of Michigan (UCCM) will host this year's celebrations of the Uganda Martyrs on Saturday, May 30th, 2026. The Most Reverend Simon Peter Engurait, Bishop of the Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux, Lousiana is our distinguished guest. The celebrations will begin with Holy Mass at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, located at 47650 N. Territorial, Plymouth, MI 48170 at 4:00pm; followed by a Grand Reception beginning with Dinner at 6:00pm, and entertainment until 11:00pm. Tickets should be purchased for entry at the reception. Come join us for great food, music, and dance; as you experience the Ugandan expression of catholic liturgy and worship.

The celebrations will continue on Trinity Sunday, May 31, 2026, with Holy Mass at the Cathedral of the Most Blessed Sacrament, located at 9844 Woodward Avenue, Detroit, MI  48202 at 11:00am; followed by a light reception.
