Where local insight, philanthropy and leadership meet

Join UK Community Foundations for our flagship two-day conference, bringing together staff, trustees and partners from across our movement.

Communities today are navigating constant pressure: rising costs, climate impacts, stretched public services and deepening inequality. These aren’t temporary challenges, but the new reality.

Community foundations sit at the heart of it all: connecting capital, trust and local knowledge. The decisions we make now - how we invest, convene, and lead - will shape the resilience of places for years to come.

This is your space to step back from the day-to-day and ask the bigger question:
How do we build real, lasting resilience in our communities?

What to expect:

Two days of learning, connection and big-picture thinking, focused on four core resilience themes:

  • Community and place-based resilience
  • Organisational and operational resilience
  • Financial and philanthropic resilience
  • Communications, influence and narrative resilience

Sessions include:

  • Trustee diversity as a strategic asset
  • Seeding the future: regenerative funding in practice
  • Preparing for the next generation of donors
  • Strategic impact investing for community foundations
  • Engaging with professional advisers
  • Narrative building for social change
  • Leadership for resilient foundations
  • Making climate part of the mission: embedding environmental thinking across philanthropy
  • Rural philanthropy in focus: what the research tells us
  • Democratic resilience: the role of community foundations in polarised times
  • Building grassroots resilience: capacity building for local groups

Please note that the agenda has not been finalised, and that sessions are subject to change.

Full agenda coming soon.

Early bird tickets available until 14 August.
