Journalist and editor David Ainsworth presents a live interactive course on how to get press coverage for your campaign.
One of the most effective ways to increase the return on your fundraising campaign is to get coverage for your charity in national and local media. It’s free, it reaches a wide audience, and it comes with the seal of approval of a trusted independent source.
Getting coverage for your charity is not always easy, but it’s perfectly possible with the right steps. Join us to learn:
- What journalists look for in a story
- How to shape your story to give it the best possible chance of getting picked up
- How to identify which media to target, and build relationships with them
During the session we will:
- Look at ideas for finding stories within your organisation
- Discuss press opportunities in some of the campaigns you’re working on
- Answer any questions you might have about dealing with journalists
Bring your idea along…
- As part of the course, we’ll look at an idea that you have in the pipeline, and talk about how to get it in the news
The course lasts for 90 minutes and takes place live on Zoom. We'll send you the Zoom link a day or two before the course. Delegates will receive a copy of the slides in PDF
