envecon is a global applied economics conference in the heart of London. Now in its 25th year, envecon has brought together professionals from 6 continents and 39 countries, making it a great opportunity to discuss the latest research and policy topics.

Policymakers, regulators, businesses, academics, consultants, and practitioners across many sectors come together at envecon to share ideas, evidence, and experience. You will leave feeling enriched and inspired about how to put economics into good use for society and nature.

The full programme will be announced in January but for now, we are delighted to announce that Dr James Richardson, Chief Analyst at the Climate Change Committee, will deliver the keynote address at envecon 2027. Dr Richardson oversees the Committee's analytical work on both Net Zero and climate adaptation and has led major advisory programmes, including the Seventh Carbon Budget and advice on the UK's Climate Change Risk Assessment. His keynote will draw on extensive experience at the intersection of economics, climate policy and public decision-making.

We are also pleased to announce our opening session: The Macroeconomic Implications of Climate Change and the Transition. The session will feature Dr Richardson alongside Ed Millar, Economic Adviser on Climate at the Bank of England, with other panellists to be announced. Together, they will discuss the growing importance of climate-related risks and opportunities for governments, central banks, financial institutions, and economic policy in the years ahead.
