FAMFEST Atlantic - Early Bird

FamFest Atlantic is a new two-day festival created to connect families through live music, theatre, dance, art, comedy, and creativity—inspiring love for the arts in the next generation. Through attending local events with their kids, the founders of FamFest Atlantic recognized a significant gap—offerings in the region are either programmed for kids and parents suffer through it, or they are programmed for adults who sometimes drag their unwilling kids along, with often little consideration to accommodating families in an accessible and engaging way. 

Famfest is intended to fill this gap, considering both parents AND kids in all elements of festival design, layout, and programming.

What we have planned:

• Live music performances from local, regional, and national artists - shorter sets for shorter attention spans!
• Interactive performances and activities
• Live theatre, dance, circus, and comedy
• Activity Zones - music / STEM / art / workshops 
• Halifax's first ever PARENT OLYMPICS - Interactive activities for parents at stations across the festival grounds, culminating in a Parent Olympics finals on the mainstage.
