If you've ever wondered...How do I support my students as whole people without burning myself out? Are trauma-informed teachers supposed to be therapists? How are we supposed to take on student mental health on top of everything else we're supposed to do? And other concerns about stepping into trauma-informed education, SEL, and other human-centered approaches...this workshop is for you!

To sustain our work as educators, we need boundaries - especially as we seek to implement trauma-informed practices. Setting and maintaining healthy boundaries with our colleagues and students can help us navigate tricky situations, create space for rest, and allow us to focus on learning.

In this interactive webinar, Alex will cover:

  • What boundaries are, and what makes them so tricky to define and maintain in the context of teaching
  • Why boundaries are essential for equity-centered trauma-informed practices
  • Clarifying the teacher's role in trauma-informed education (spoiler alert: it's not to become a therapist!)
  • Reflection on our own boundary habits
  • Tools to identify, set, and maintain our boundaries

My pay-what-you-can workshops are relaxed, interactive, and conversational. We take our learning seriously but we have fun too! This is a live workshop with no recording. See you there.
