Movie Night :The Light We Share

Movie Night: The Light We Share + Essential: The Making of The Light We Share

We’re reaching into our own archives for this one. ✨

Join us under the stars for a special double screening of The Light We Share and Essential: The Making of The Light We Share.

The Light We Share was produced and directed in 2020 by Understory founder Jules Downum, alongside Mattie Waters, in collaboration with dozens of Chattanooga artists. The film features stories from Emma Pannkuk, Ryan Roberts, Jessi Faircloth, Kenny Keawekane, Jerigray Eduave, Maddi Lane, and Damien Chaney.

Created during a moment when gathering together suddenly became impossible, The Light We Share brought artists across disciplines together to tell stories and create something collectively, exploring creativity, resilience, connection, and the things that hold us together.

Essential is a documentary produced by WTCI that takes you behind the scenes of the project, following the artists and the making of The Light We Share.

Now, six years later, we’re hosting a public screening of these films for the first time since they were first released.

It feels especially fitting to bring them back here, into community, under the open sky, as part of Search Party.

Come grab a seat, bring your people, and spend the evening with a piece of Chattanooga’s creative history.

Doors open at 7 PM.

Specialty cocktails, beer, wine, and other beverages available for purchase from Broad’s Lounge.
