Uninvited Guests: A Journey into Myth & Mirth

Uninvited Guests is an exploration of those roles, characters & archetypes which do not easily co-exist in our current ways of relating to one another & the world around us. 

It's a devoted return to ancient and perennial archetypal influences which, even in the modern day, continue to play out in our lives. We'll be chiefly looking at two archetypes: The Trickster & The Bone Mother, both, in their own way, representing the forces of disruption, dissolution and death.

Though a common reflex is to cringe at the mention of these forces, they are necessary to our continued growth: disruption begets the possibiltiy of re-direction, dissolution clears the space for novelty to emerge, and only in death can we rebirth. 

The Trickster can easily wreak havoc in our lives where we do not know how to hear his medicine. The image of the Bone Mother might frighten us, if we have not learned to recognise the gifts she brings. 

Yet should we allow them, The Bone Mother can Midwife Death, hold Sacred Endings and Deep Listening. While The Trickster, in pulling the rug out from under us, can Shake us from Stagnancy into Aliveness. 
 
This is a space for transformation, mask-dropping, and deep belly-laughs. 

Over the course of five playshops, we re-imagine our relationships to these archetypes, through circlework, somatic witnessing, theatrical play and conscious improvisation. 

Every participant is a Sacred Witness & Active Player.

Every playshop is from 18:30 to 21:00. 
Doors open from 18:00 onwards for arriving and settling into the space. 

You can choose to participate in one or more playshop, according to your schedule.

That being said, all participants are encouraged to attend the entire series (or as many as possible) to enjoy the full scope of this soul exploration together.

A note on the venue: The Yoga Cafe is situated on the backstreet behind Sambal restaurant on Barlow Moor Road. There's an alleyway between Golden Star and Star Pizza restaurants. Walk down there, take a right, and we're just through the signposted gate.
