About Unique Movez Dance Collective CIC
Founded in 2018 through the support of the King's Trust following the success of their social enterprise programme, Unique Movez Dance Collective (UMDC) is a community-rooted dance company based in Wolverhampton, West Midlands. In 2023, we registered as a Community Interest Company (CIC).
Founded by Tamar—a qualified dance and exercise instructor, educator, international dance practitioner, and dyslexic advocate—Unique Movez champions dance as a tool for connection, diversity, and joy.
We are building a safe, creative, and inclusive community through dance. Our mission is to create inclusive and transformative opportunities for communities to connect, move, and grow together. Through dance, we support wellbeing, foster appreciation, and empower individuals towards personal growth and education.
Our vision is to nurture co-creation, cultural diversity, and shared experiences through movement—empowering communities, strengthening social wellbeing, and creating a lasting legacy of inclusive creative activity across our region and beyond.
