๐ย This Autumn we are pleased to welcome our first-ever intergenerational dance taster โ a relaxed, one-off session where young people and a trusted adult can move, connect and explore dance together.
Who it's for:
Young people aged 11โ17, accompanied by an adult aged 18+. This doesn't need to be a parent โ it can be any trusted adult in their life: a guardian, sibling, cousin, aunt, uncle, grandparent, or family friend.
No dance experience needed. Come as you are, move at your own pace, and enjoy something different together.

โจ What to Expect
- ๐ Guided dance movement and games
- ๐ฟ A wellbeing-focused session, gentle and welcoming
- ๐ค A chance to interact and mingle with other families and young people in the space
- ๐ฌ An opportunity to share your thoughts and feedback with us at the end
This is a one-off taster and research session โ we're genuinely exploring what this kind of intergenerational space could look like, and your feedback on the day will directly help shape what we develop next.
โน๏ธ Good to Know
Why are we doing this?
This is a first-time taster session for us, and also a chance to listen. We want to hear what's missing for young people and families when it comes to engaging with dance and creative activity in our communities โ together and individually. Your comments and thoughts on the day will help guide what we build going forward.
Does the adult need to be a parent?
No โ it can be any trusted adult aged 18+, including a guardian, sibling, cousin, aunt, uncle, grandparent, or family friend.
Do I need dance experience?
No. This is for complete beginners as much as anyone else โ come ready to enjoy yourself and move at your own pace.
What should we wear?
Comfortable clothing you can move freely in. Trainers or flat, comfortable shoes recommended.
Will there be a break/refreshments?
We will include a short rest break. No refreshments will be served. Please bring a bottle of water.ย
Is this accessible for different needs or abilities?
Our practice is inclusive and we aim to ensure our programmes are accessible. Everyone's needs are different. We welcome your comments. If you wish to share any needs in advance, please do email us. Thank you
