Unitarian College Foundation Lay Worship Leader Course Sept 2026

We welcome you to our Foundation Course September 2026 in our Lay Leadership pathway! We are so pleased you have decided to use your unique voice to lead Unitarian services and improve the quality of worship leadership. This course paves the way to continue onto our Intermediate and Advanced Lay Leadership Courses. Your tutors for this Foundation course are  Rev Winnie Gordon, Rev Sheena Gabriel and Rev Ant Howe, along with several visiting tutors or experts in various areas, who will be covering the following topics:
- Exploring the theology of worship and elements of a Unitarian service
- Writing sermons and addresses
- Choosing hymns and music
- Improving creative storytelling for all ages

We will be meeting for 8x zoom sessions, from 7-9:15pm, on the following dates. We will send you the link to the zoom course the week before we begin.

The cost of the course is £150. Only once we receive payment will your place be confirmed. 

Participants are encouraged to approach congregations and Districts to help with funding, to whom we can send invoices directly for payment. Payment can be made directly to the College by bank transfer:
