Session 1 - Protecting the Profession with Best Practice (2nd June) 

First half: Employer's Introduction (45 minutes) 

• The basis for the law (both IRR17 and IRMER) 
• Key responsibilities under IRR17 
• Documentation  
• X-ray equipment management – we need to do better 

Second half: Demonstrating IRMER Compliance (45 minutes) 

• Key responsibilities for IRMER compliance 
• Employers' Procedures and evidence of compliance 
• Referral guidelines and Exam protocols 
• IRMER duty holder training records 

Session 2 - Informed Consent and Quality Assurance (30th June) 
 
First half: Informed Consent for Chiropractic x-ray Exposures (45 minutes) 

• The Year of Consent: What is x-ray informed consent? 
• Discussing benefits of exposure 
• Expected scales of patient dose and relative risks 
• Using available guidance 

Second half: Quality Assurance (45 minutes) 

• Quality Control: X-Ray equipment tests and suspension levels 
• Clinical Auditing ideas  
• Duty holder training records
