RechargePLUS 2026
Be Recharged. Be Equipped. Be Inspired.
Scotland's only ecumenical, whole-church training event of its kind.
RechargePLUS is a unique gathering shaped by the United Reformed Church Synod of Scotland in partnership with the Presbytery of Glasgow, Church of Scotland. It brings together people from across denominations and traditions to learn, reflect, and grow together in shared ministry and discipleship.
We warmly welcome participants from across the wider church.
This is a day for the whole church.
Whether you are part of a small congregation sustained by handful of faithful people, a church where different generations often worship and serve separately, or a ministry carried by a small team of volunteers, RechargePLUS is designed with your context in mind.
Ministry today is often carried in the tension of responsibility, change, and limited time and energy. RechargePLUS creates space to step back from that pressure, be spiritually renewed, and refocus on what is possible in your own setting.
Whether you are ordained, a paid church worker, or a volunteer serving in any area of church life—children’s, youth, families, worship, eldership, or community engagement—you are warmly invited to take part.
Through shared worship, practical input, and hands-on workshops, you will be encouraged and equipped to:
- Be renewed in faith, calling, and ministry
- Discover practical ideas that can be used in everyday church life
- Recognise and release the gifts already present within your church
- Identify one or two realistic next steps you can begin to take forward
This is not about adding expectations. It is about discerning what is faithful, achievable, and life-giving in your context.
These aims are worked out through four practical workshops that you will choose for the day.
Workshops
RechargePLUS is a workshop-based day with no parallel sessions or alternative programmes.
You will attend four workshops, selected in advance, each designed to be practical, adaptable, and rooted in real church contexts—including smaller or stretched settings.
Workshops explore worship, leadership, storytelling, accessibility, and intergenerational ministry, with a focus on approaches that can be taken back and used immediately.
