How many times have you heard the phrase or spoken the words, “Stop triangulating!” How did it turn out?

According to psychotherapist Dr. Murray Bowen, relationship triangles are foundational to building healthy systems, families and organizations. Whenever there is discomfort or heightened anxiety experienced within a primary two-person relationship, we will naturally seek a third party to help us restore balance.

What ministry doesn’t have its share of discomfort and anxiety as we seek to re-imagine “church” in the aftermath of a global pandemic? Our goal as leaders is not to stop triangulation from happening – impossible – but to teach and model how to transform our relationships from Drama Triangles to Empowerment Triangles.

In this workshop you will be provided tools to help your personal, work and church relationships to shift from Drama Triangles – that polarize and perpetuate conflict – to Empowerment Triangles – that nurture, transform and heal.

2 CEU (Continuing Education) Credits are available for those who attend this workshop.

Rev. Greg Coles is a member of the Unity Worldwide Ministries (UWM) Consulting Team and serves ministers, ministries and members as the Regional Ministry Constultant for the Great Lakes Unity Region. Greg has been providing leadership for family, pastoral and program size ministries since 1991. He was ordained in 2010 and retired from pulpit ministry in 2019. His mission is model and support other leaders to thrive.
