Health Unity: Bridging Communities and Research
Tue 31 Oct 2023 12:00 PM - 3:30 PM
The Legacy Centre,144 Potters Ln, Birmingham, B6 4UU
Description
What does a health and care researcher do, and what research is happening in Birmingham? And most importantly, how can you get involved and shape it to ensure research outcomes are relevant to you and your community?
These are only some of the questions we will answer at this dynamic community and listening event in the heart of the city.
Join us to hear from health and care researchers and patient and public research partners from the region. They will tell us about their important work to improve the health of our diverse communities and their personal experiences shaping research. There will be plenty of time for questions, networking, and reflecting on how we can work together to improve health equity.
The event is open to all and includes entertainment activities for children and light refreshments. You don’t need to show your ticket to access the venue, just show up on the day and stay as long as you like – but please register to help us make sure there’s food for everyone. We look forward to seeing you there!
This event is jointly organised by National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) infrastructures Birmingham Biomedical Research Centre, West Midlands Applied Research Collaboration, Midlands Patient Safety Research Centre, and NIHR/Wellcome Trust Clinical Research Facility.
