Wednesday 18th August
6pm-7:30pm
Dr Daniel Pan, Specialist Registrar in Infectious Diseases and Medicine
Why is it that your 30-year old next door neighbour went to hospital after being infected with SARS-CoV-2 and almost ended up in intensive care, yet your grandfather just had a runny nose? Although age is definitely related to the risk of getting severe COVID-19, it is not the whole picture.
In this talk, Dr Daniel Pan, a specialist doctor in infectious diseases will lay out all we know about why some people get severe disease, and others do not.
