Join us for a Distinguished Lecturer Talk by Prof. Yong Zhu on the future of conductive nanocomposites in soft electronics and robotics!

Hosted by the University of Bristol IEEE Student Branch and the IEEE UK and Ireland Nanotechnology Council Chapter, this virtual event will explore the breakthrough applications of silver nanowire (AgNW)-based nanocomposites in creating stretchable, conductive materials for wearable sensors and soft robotics.

Prof. Zhu will discuss how AgNW composites serve as the backbone for next-generation soft electronics, including wearable sensors for tracking vital health metrics such as ECG, EMG, and hydration. Additionally, the talk will cover AgNW-based soft heaters and programmable actuators used in soft robotic systems, with insights into achieving higher actuation speeds through programmable thermal activation. Prof. Zhu will conclude with recent advances in sustainable nanomanufacturing processes for scalable production of soft electronics and robotics.

This talk is essential for those interested in soft electronics, wearable technology, and robotics innovation!

We look forward to seeing you online for this exciting lecture!

Note: The Zoom link will be sent after the registration.
