This interactive and insightful training has been co-produced with people with lived experience of trauma, in collaboration with Second Step (leading mental health charity with expertise in trauma informed approaches).
Participants can expect to:
- Reflect on research practice
- Consider how best to support underserved communities by adopting trauma informed approaches
- Learn to incorporate considerations into methodological design, engagement techniques and co-production practice
Training will be co-facilitated by experienced mental health training leads as well as those who have lived experience of mental health challenges.
'I really enjoyed the training and approach taken. I learned a lot and liked all the opportunities for reflection and group discussion' (previous attendee).
This session could be of particular interest to those undertaking or considering undertaking co-produced research or working with communities and the public.
However the session is open to all (staff, PGRs, professional services, technicians, UG and PG students).
There are limited numbers but if we become oversubscribed we will offer additional session on Thursday 2nd July.
Refreshments throughout the day and lunch is provided.
