Who’s got the shortest attention span online? The reader of an email. Everyone hates emails, yet the primary source of communications at universities is still – an email. But there’s help.
During this interactive workshop you’ll learn how to steer away from cognitive overload and stop heads from exploding by:
- sending a clear and encouraging subject line
- getting the number of words right
- using hacks for best response rates
- communicating in Plain English
- using F-shapes and understanding heatmaps
- front-loading everything
- using the Foraging theory
- avoiding info scrolling by placing content right
After this session your emails will be an inspiration to others, inducing awe amongst your peers. I promise.
This session is open to all students and staff.
